Who we are: a software development company in Ukraine
Lytvynov Production is a software development company in Ukraine that builds custom web, mobile and AI products for startups and B2B companies abroad. The legal entity is LLC "Lytvynov Production", founded in 2020 by Anton Lytvynov, an engineer with more than 15 years of experience. Our clients are mostly in the United States, the United Kingdom and the European Union, and we work with all of them remotely.
We are a Ukrainian software development company in the plain sense: the company is registered in Ukraine, the contract is signed with it, and the engineers who build your product work with it. On Upwork we hold a 5.0 rating with 100% Job Success, and the case studies on our site describe what was actually built, in technical detail.
If you are still comparing countries, our guide on outsourcing software development to Ukraine covers the market as a whole, and nearshore vs offshore software development explains where Ukraine fits for US and European buyers. This page is about us specifically.
What custom software development do we do from Ukraine?
Our custom software development in Ukraine covers the products that companies usually cannot buy off the shelf: SaaS platforms, internal business systems, marketplaces, mobile apps and AI features. We take a product from written scope to production and then keep evolving it.
The main areas:
- Web applications and SaaS. Back end on PHP/Symfony, our core stack, with React, Vue or Angular on the front end.
- Business systems. ERP, CRM, internal ticketing and scheduling tools that replace spreadsheets and disconnected apps.
- Mobile apps. iOS and Android with React Native or Flutter, sharing an API with the web product.
- AI features and AI products. Integrations with the OpenAI and Anthropic Claude APIs, retrieval over company data (RAG), AI agents, fine-tuning with LoRA and MCP servers.
- DevOps. Docker, CI/CD and cloud deployment, set up in the client's own accounts.
Internally, senior engineers run delivery and use AI coding agents to speed up routine work, with every change reviewed by a person before it merges. That is a large part of why our MVPs ship in weeks rather than quarters.
How do we work with US, UK and EU clients remotely?
We work with clients in the US, UK and EU remotely, with a fixed rhythm: a shared tracker, written specifications, a weekly demo of working software and live calls scheduled in the overlap hours. Nobody needs to travel for a project to run well, and none of our client projects depend on an office.
Working languages are English and French. Specifications, tickets, pull requests and reports are written in the client's language, and French-speaking clients can run the whole project in French. Code, repositories, cloud accounts and third-party services are opened in the client's name from the first week, with our team invited as members, so ownership never depends on a handover at the end.
What are the time zone overlaps from Kyiv?
Kyiv is on UTC+2 in winter and UTC+3 in summer, which gives UK and EU clients a full shared working day and US East Coast clients a shared window in their morning. The exact difference shifts by an hour for a few weeks each spring and autumn, because the US and Europe change clocks on different dates.
| Client location | Difference with Kyiv (usual) | Shared working hours |
|---|---|---|
| London | Kyiv is 2 hours ahead | Full working day |
| Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam | Kyiv is 1 hour ahead | Full working day |
| New York, Toronto | Kyiv is 7 hours ahead | US East Coast mornings |
| Chicago | Kyiv is 8 hours ahead | Early US mornings |
| San Francisco, Seattle | Kyiv is 10 hours ahead | Very short; mostly async |
For US East Coast clients the rhythm is practical: questions raised in your morning are discussed live in the overlap, built during the rest of our day, and ready for review by your next morning. For West Coast clients we rely on written updates and recorded demos, with occasional early calls when a decision needs a conversation.
How do we keep delivery running during the war?
We keep delivery running during the war through three general practices: a distributed team, backups of everything that matters, and infrastructure hosted in the cloud rather than on premises. These are the same practices that make any remote team resilient, applied with more discipline because the risk in Ukraine is real.
- Distributed team. Our engineers work remotely rather than from one shared office, so a local problem in one place does not stop the whole project.
- Backups. Code lives in hosted repositories, and databases and important files are backed up, so no work exists only on one laptop.
- Cloud infrastructure. Repositories, CI/CD and production environments run with cloud providers, usually in the client's own accounts, not on hardware in Ukraine.
- No single point of knowledge. Code review, written specifications and short architecture notes mean more than one person understands each critical part.
We would rather discuss continuity openly than dismiss it. The broader picture, including the risks a buyer should ask any Ukrainian vendor about, is in our guide to outsourcing software development to Ukraine.
How do contracts and payments work?
Contracts and payments are simple: you sign with our Ukrainian LLC, we give a fixed quote for a written scope, and you pay per milestone after each one is delivered and demoed. We do not publish hourly rates, and we do not bill open-ended hours for fixed-scope work.
The usual sequence:
- Scoping call. A short call about the product, users, integrations and deadlines.
- Written scope and fixed quote. A document listing features, milestones and what each milestone includes, with a fixed price.
- Contract with LLC "Lytvynov Production". Scope, milestones, intellectual property assignment to you, confidentiality, and exit and handover terms.
- Milestones. Each milestone ends with working software on a staging environment and a demo; we invoice per milestone.
- Changes. New requests are estimated and agreed in writing before work on them starts, so the total never grows silently.
Projects start at $10,000, our minimum project size, and most MVPs land at $10,000 to $20,000 with us. For products with an evolving backlog and no fixed end, we also provide a dedicated development team billed monthly. How our prices compare with other regions is covered in offshore software development cost.
What have we built for clients abroad?
Our case studies show the kind of work a Ukrainian software development company can carry end to end for clients in the US, UK and France:
- Custom ERP for a US aircraft service company. Six months of development on Symfony/PHP, React, SQL and Mercure: client and order management, aircraft service scheduling, staff shifts with calendar integrations, warehouse inventory and regulatory compliance in one system used from ground workers to the CEO.
- Sports events calendar for a UK-based sports tech company: a web platform with a custom parsing engine that aggregates and normalizes fixtures from hundreds of calendars and feeds, plus APIs and embeddable widgets for B2B clients.
- Task management system for a telecom company's support operations in France: an internal ticketing tool that processes tasks from third-party alarm generators and manual requests, built in three months.
- AI Resume Master, our own AI SaaS: an LLM-powered resume builder built in about three months that reached 50,000 monthly active users.
Why choose a Ukrainian software development company?
Buyers choose a Ukrainian software development company for senior engineering at a price well below US and UK agencies, good English, and a working day that overlaps with Europe fully and with the US East Coast in the morning. The trade-off is war-related risk, which is why the vendor's own setup matters more than the country.
When you compare us with other vendors, ask the same questions of everyone: who exactly will build the product, where the code and infrastructure will live, what the contract says about intellectual property and exit, and how delivery continued during the hardest periods since 2022. A good vendor answers all of them in writing before you sign.
