We are one of the companies on this list; we explain the criteria we used so you can judge for yourself. Updated October 2026.
How do you choose an MVP development company in Eastern Europe?
Choose an MVP development company in Eastern Europe by checking three things before price: launched MVPs you can open or install, a process that cuts scope to one core workflow, and a written scope with a fixed quote per milestone. Then check working-hours overlap and which legal entity signs your contract.
An MVP (minimum viable product) is the smallest version of a product that real users can use and pay for, built to test whether the idea works. A good MVP company is as much about saying no as about building: it helps you find the one workflow that proves the idea and defers the rest. Our MVP development process guide shows what that looks like week by week, and our MVP development service explains how we run it.
Ukraine, Poland and Romania have a deep bench of product studios that have built MVPs for US, UK and EU startups for more than a decade. The companies below are a representative mix of those countries and of team sizes.

Why build an MVP with an Eastern European team?
Eastern European teams combine senior engineering, product experience with Western startups and rates well below US and Western European agencies. For UK and EU founders they work in the same or a neighboring time zone; for US founders they offer a morning overlap with the East Coast and a handover of work overnight.
| Your location | Overlap with Ukraine, Poland, Romania | What it means in practice |
|---|---|---|
| UK, Ireland | Full working day (1 to 2 hours difference) | Same-day calls, real-time collaboration |
| EU | Full working day (0 to 1 hour difference) | Works like a local team |
| US East Coast | About 2 to 3 hours in your morning | Daily call in your morning, progress overnight |
| US West Coast | Little or none | Asynchronous work with an early-morning call a few times a week |
Poland and Romania are EU members, which some buyers prefer for contracts and data processing agreements. Ukraine offers one of the largest talent pools in the region; our guide to outsourcing software development to Ukraine covers contracts, IP and war-time continuity questions in detail.
What should you ask an MVP development company before signing?
Ask questions that reveal whether the company will protect your budget by cutting scope, not only build what you list. A good MVP partner pushes back on features and explains why.
- Scope. Which features would you remove from our list for the first release, and why?
- Timeline. What is the plan week by week, and when will we see a working build?
- Proof. Which MVPs have you launched that we can open or install now?
- Team. Who will build it, and will we talk to them directly?
- Price. Is the quote fixed per milestone, and how are changes priced?
- Ownership. Are the code, app store accounts, cloud and domains in our name from day one?
- After launch. How do you support the first months of real users, and how would a handover to our own team work?
How much does an MVP cost with an Eastern European company?
MVP cost depends on scope far more than on the country. The main drivers are the number of user roles, platforms (web, iOS, Android), payments, integrations and AI features. Eastern European teams generally quote well below US agencies for the same scope, which is why many startups build the first version in the region.
At Lytvynov Production, MVPs typically cost $10,000 to $50,000, and most land at $10,000 to $20,000. A US agency typically quotes 2 to 4 times more for the same scope. Our MVP development cost guide breaks prices down by scope and explains what moves them. Whoever you choose, get the scope in writing before you compare numbers; quotes for a vague idea cannot be compared.
What MVPs can you look at before you choose?
Look at launched products, not only mockups, and ask each company the same question: what did you cut to ship on time? For our part, AI Resume Master is an AI resume builder with LLM-generated content, LinkedIn import and PDF export. Kodcy is a pet-sitting marketplace with iOS and Android apps, a real-time map of hosts and in-app chat, built in about three months. The flower subscription service added Telegram ordering, courier dispatch through Uklon Delivery, live tracking and a CRM to an existing brand site.
